Movement For Life offers a range of massage services, allowing therapists to tailor treatment to the client's needs, presentation and goals.
Depending on your skills and scope of practice, treatments may include:
Remedial Massage
Targeted treatment for specific injuries, muscle and joint soreness and musculoskeletal presentations.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deeper pressure and sustained techniques for clients experiencing muscle tightness and aching discomfort.
Sports Massage
Treatment focused on recovery and the physical demands of training and sporting activity.
Shiatsu
A rhythmic pressure-based approach that can be used for relaxation and selected musculoskeletal presentations.
Pregnancy Massage
Massage adapted to support comfort and wellbeing during pregnancy.
Working with the Clinical Team
Work Alongside Physiotherapists and Allied Health Professionals
Massage therapy is an integrated part of Movement For Life's broader clinical services.
You'll work alongside physiotherapists and allied health assistants, with opportunities to contribute to a coordinated approach to client care where appropriate.
Your massage practice remains your area of clinical responsibility, while collaboration with the wider team can provide opportunities to share information, understand the broader goals of a client's rehabilitation and contribute to their recovery.

Successful full-time massage therapist applicants have access to selected professional development opportunities within Movement For Life, including inservice education and mentoring.
These opportunities provide exposure to the broader clinical environment and allow you to continue developing your knowledge while working alongside other health professionals.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a qualified massage therapist who enjoys working with people and wants to build their practice within a professional healthcare environment.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Hold an appropriate massage therapy qualification
- Are eligible to work as a massage therapist in Australia
- Have an interest in remedial and therapeutic massage
- Enjoy working with a broad range of clients
- Are comfortable working independently while collaborating with a wider clinical team
- Value ongoing learning and professional development
- Communicate well with clients and colleagues
Essential requirements
- HLT50307 Diploma-level remedial massage qualification or equivalent
- Appropriate professional registration/accreditation where required
- Australian working rights
- Current Police Clearance
- Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance, where applicable
