WHY CHOOSE US
Leading and Trusted Provider
For over 25 years, Movement for Life Physiotherapy has been Darwin's trusted physiotherapy clinic, QIP Accredited in 2011 and 2015. We're a registered NDIS provider and the only PINC Cancer Rehabilitation provider in the Top End, delivering specialist care across two locations: Coconut Grove and Rosebery.

Convenience
Getting to a clinic isn't always easy. That's why, alongside our two fully-equipped Darwin clinics, our physiotherapists offer home visits and telehealth consultations — so you can access the same standard of care wherever you're most comfortable.

Our team of 11 physiotherapists includes Andrew Rank (Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, GLA:D provider), Nick Jones (Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist), Meagan Colsey (PINC Cancer Rehabilitation) and Bridget O'Dwyer (GLA:D provider) — backed by hands-on manual therapy and personalised treatment plans.
PINC & GLA:D - our point of difference
We're the only PINC Cancer Rehabilitation provider in the Top End, led by Meagan Colsey, and one of few Darwin clinics offering GLA:D through two certified providers, Andrew Rank and Bridget O'Dwyer. Specialist care for cancer recovery and osteoarthritis, not found at every clinic.

OUR APPROACH TO YOUR HEALTHCARE
Schedule an appointment
We make it easy to schedule an in-person or telehealth appointment. Book online anytime, or call our offices on 08 8945 3799 during business hours. We'll work with you to match you with the best physiotherapists on a day and time that suits you.
Initial consultation
During your initial visit, we conduct a comprehensive assessment of your physical condition to understand your needs. As we develop a personalised treatment plan, we also guide you through the process, ensuring you’re informed every step of the way.
Personalised treatment plan
Following your consultation, we’ll outline a clear plan for your recovery and progress. We'll arm you with an exercise program, and offer expert advice on preventing future issues, equipping you with the tools to maintain long-term health and well-being.
Continuous evaluation
During each session, we assess your progress to ensure your treatment plan stays effective. Regular evaluations help us make any needed adjustments, keeping you on track for recovery and reaching your health care goals.

We are an NDIS Registered provider and were previously accredited against the National Physiotherapy Standards (QIP) in 2011 and 2015, reflecting our long-standing commitment to delivering safe, high-quality physiotherapy care that meets recognised professional standards.
We continue to benchmark our care against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and to support safe, high-quality, and accountable service delivery for every person we see.
Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about referrals, rebates or bookings? Start here.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No referral is needed to book a physiotherapy appointment with us. If you're being treated under NDIS, a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan, DVA, or a compensable claim (WorkCover, motor vehicle), a referral may be required to access your rebate — our team can confirm what applies to your situation when you book.
Is physiotherapy covered by Medicare, private health, or NDIS?
Yes. We accept private health fund rebates via HICAPS (claim on the spot), Medicare Chronic Disease Management referrals, DVA, and we're a registered NDIS provider. Bring your membership or plan details and your referral (if you have one) to your first appointment and our front desk will guide you through what's claimable.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat musculoskeletal pain and injury across the neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle, alongside specialised programs in women's health, cancer rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and daily clinical Pilates. We're the only PINC Cancer Rehabilitation and GLA:D provider in the Top End.
Where are you located?
We have two Darwin clinics: The Tropicus Centre, 6 Caryota Court, Coconut Grove, and The Corner, 7/164 Forrest Parade, Rosebery.
How experienced is your team?
Movement for Life Physiotherapy has been serving Darwin for over 25 years, and we've been QIP Accredited against the National Physiotherapy Standards in both 2011 and 2015.
